Are your cakes edible?
We hope so! In our first cakes we tried to make everything edible, and as much as we’d like to answer that challenge, sometimes for the sake of the design, we add structural elements to the cake. But we are always looking for new creative ways to solve that problem.
Can you put pictures on my cake?
We can draw you, sculpt you and even put the metaphorical you on a cake, but we don’t print photos onto cakes at this time.
Do you do wedding cakes?
Yes and no… We are focusing on doing creative novelty cakes at this time. There are so many talented people making wonderful traditional wedding cakes that we didn’t think there was much market for us. If you’d like something on the creative side we’d love to help you celebrate your special day.
Can you ship a cake?
We do deliver most of our cakes and for a fee, we will drive pretty far, but at this time that’s it. Maybe someday.
What flavors do you make?
What kind do you want? The Baker is just as creative with her cakes. Let us know what you are craving and we’ll let you know.
How much do they cost?
Every cake is unique and thus it’s pretty hard to give too much detailed pricing. But our normal rate starts at $125. On average we charge $2.75 per serving for a basic start. Please complete a cake request and we’ll get right back to you with an estimate.
Also…We do require a 50% non-refundable deposit on all cakes.
How many people will it serve?
How many do you have? Most cake servings are based on a 1″ x 2″ piece of cake. So technically, a 12″ x 12″ cake would serve 72. Personally we like our pieces a bit bigger than that. So, plan accordingly.
What is fondant anyway?
Thanks Wikipedia!
We make ours from scratch every time. And it’s been said that we have the best tasting fondant around. We use it to cover the cakes and sculpt elements. And it’s edible!
How much does that weigh?
Depends. The R2-D2 cake weighed in at a robotic 32 pounds. Most aren’t that heavy. Just depends on the design.
Can you make anything?
We’re trying! Everyday we develop new creative ways to solve the cake building challenge.
